Welcome to our homesteading website. We call our homestead Nature’s Bounty Homestead. We will be chronicling our journey as we leave the hectic city life and learn to live off the land. We started this journey back in the late summer of 2008. As luck would have it, this is just about the time this country started on a rapid economic decline. Everything we had planned has been going in slow motion, but we hope you will join us in this journey. Maybe you will learn a few things, laugh at our mistakes, and contribute when you see fit. On Wednesday, August 10 we traveled to Kentucky to pick up the beginnings of our registered Nubian Goat herd. We decided to start with 2 young bucks so we can interact we them and have them get to know us. The photo is of our two new additions. Willie is 5 months old (the larger buck) and Jethro is 2 months old. They come from excellent stock and we feel they will produce an excellent line of Nubians.
